Mousertainment Movies: What’s Worth Watching in 2015?

Today I’m going to take a look ahead at films coming out this year that I’m excited about. And it’s a pretty big year for some pretty big movies! Though as mentioned in my post about 2014 movies, it takes a rather extraordinary event to get me into a theater rather than just waiting to watch a film in the comfort of my own home!

So as usual, the majority of movies I want to see this year are being released by some arm of Disney or another. But there are so many exciting things planned for this year, I may be tempted to head out to the theater in 2015 more than I have in quite some time!

So let’s dive in! What are the must-sees of 2015? I’m making my best educated guesses mostly based on concept art, known universes and a couple of teaser trailers!

Here are the Top 10 films that have my attention in 2015 – including the ones I think I will simply HAVE to see opening weekend at the theater! (*):

10) Home

Reasons I want to see it:

  • Really liked the book “The True Meaning of Smekday”
  • Jim Parsons

Reasons I probably won’t go see it:

  • By changing the original title to a generic one, it indicates the story was likely genericized too
  • Have only ever really enjoyed one Dreamworks animated film – Megamind
  • Waiting for rental

3) Tomorrowland

Reasons I want to see it:

  • An original sci-fi/fantasy adventure story
  • Disney history/parks connection

Reasons I may not go see it:

  • Potentially convoluted plot
