Today I’m going to focus on one of the best additions to New Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom: the Tangled restrooms!
*vinyl record screech*
Okay, I’ll say it. I love the themed lavatories at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. I might even do another feature on them at some point. But for today, let’s look at one of the most fun and eye-catching Disney restrooms since they first introduced the thrones at Club 33 (a post for another day)!
Rumored to have been originally designed as a Meet & Greet location for Rapunzel, the Tangled restrooms are one of the most beautiful corners of the Magic Kingdom. I know – they’re RESTROOMS! But the intricate theming of this area is worth visiting just to see it all and immerse yourself in the setting – and THAT makes it Mousertainment!
Where else can you find such “props” as Rapunzel’s mirror, Flynn’s frying pan and apples for Maximus the horse – along with his hoofprints embedded in the pavement? Where else can you find Rapunzel’s sun-filled artwork painted on the walls or Wanted posters for assorted ruffians and thugs? Where else can you find hidden Pascals if you search hard enough?
(Not to mention the nice facilities inside and convenient nearby phone and electronics charging stations to use for free?)
It’s practically a themed walkthrough unto itself and the nearby tower that Rapunzel spent her childhood in makes for a great photo op too!
The Tangled area looks even more gorgeous at night with lanterns to light your way!
Next time you’re in the Magic Kingdom – whether you “need” to make a stop or not – slow down and check out some of the amazing themed touches in this area.
It’s this kind of Disney magic that sets their parks apart from the rest…rooms!
Have you visited the Tangled territory in New Fantasyland? What details did you like best?
