Performer Spotlight: March Hare @ The Mad T Party

“Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet…”

One of the most outrageously entertaining members of the Mad T Party band is the March Hare!

He’s a total rock star and a total goofball simultaneously and absolutely never takes himself seriously – especially when he’s pretending to be serious!

He has mad skills not only on the bass but as an incredibly eye-catching performer – though I swear he missed his calling as a comedian because his humorous timing is so perfect.

His deadpan delivery of a joke or utter silliness in acting like a self-absorbed rock star one minute and then losing it like a big kid when he sees Alice step onstage can make me cry with laughter at his antics. He is hilarious. But he’s still an exquisite delight as a musician, too. I just love watching his hands as he plays the bass!

He’s also one of our resident dancers with his own signature moves! The audience always looks forward to his special kind of choreography in certain songs!

And happily, one of his other best qualities (as far as I’m concerned!) is that he’s never met a camera he didn’t love or play to – often with his well-known playful wink of an eye!  This makes for some awesome pics as he’s definitely not camera-shy.  Because no matter where he is on stage, he’s always fun to take pictures of!

I really don’t know what special magic this guy has that makes him so convincing as a rock god on the bass, getting the audience to scream and clamor for him – and yet being so fearlessly ridiculous at the same time. The result somehow works brilliantly and makes him one of the most enjoyable performers on the Mad T Party stage. I always try to keep an eye (and a camera!) on this guy when he plays with the band – because I’d be missing so many high jinks if I didn’t!

He really is his own unique brand of awesome!

Is he your favorite performer?
