As exciting as the exhibits of the attraction vehicles were, sometimes it’s the little things that are even more interesting.

Such as – the first ticket ever sold to enter Disneyland Park:

Or the first Cast Member badge issued:

And my park entertainment-loving heart was especially thrilled to see…

These gorgeous costumes from the classic Golden Horseshoe Review!

As well as this parade performer costume from the unmatched Lion King Celebration parade:

This soldier costume from the Mulan parade on the left, with the rather terrifying costume in the center (seriously, isn’t it?) from the bicentennial America on Parade, and what I believe is an early Disneyland Band costume:

As well as this fantastic Fantasmic! display:

But what really struck me the most as a Mousertainment fan was the quote from Walt Disney that accompanied these wonderful Disneyland Christmas Parade costumes:

“Disneyland is a show.” – Walt Disney

Thank you, sir. It is indeed.

And I personally hope that those who continue to adjust the scheduling for live entertainment in the Disney Parks remember this critical component that provides the main reason why some of us visit the Happiest and Most Magical Places on Earth!

Do you have a favorite performer costume either past or present? Probably no surprise that mine would be the band costumes for the Mad T Party – especially the Mad Hatter and Alice!
