Performer Spotlight: Bert @ Pearly Band

“Oh, it’s a jolly holiday with you, Bert – gentlemen like you are few!”

Worth a thousand words…

Worth a thousand words…

While Mary Poppins might be practically perfect in every way, with all due respect to her, this guy is utterly perfect.

Bert is someone who whenever I see him at Disneyland Park brightens my day an extra 100%. (Extra 100%? Hmph, who needs math anyway?)

Whether he’s wandering the park with Mary Poppins or out strolling on his own, or doing a meet and greet at Coke Corner (often where he and Mary Poppins can be found together!) or best of all performing with the Pearly Band – he is just magical. Amazing. Perfect. Bert.

A super-rare appearance by one of the film’s Penguin Waiters who I happened to catch doing a Meet & Greet along with Bert and Mary Poppins one day at Coke Corner!

Rarely have I encountered anyone who steps right out of a movie and into the world like this guy has. He is a bundle of happiness and joy and sunshine rolled up in a cockney accent and a summery suit! Seeing him interacting with guests is always wonderful as his warmth and friendliness charms everyone he greets, while his cheery grin lights up any location he’s found at.

And that’s before you get to his incredibly entertaining dancing with the Pearly Band! I swear he must be made of rubber and light as a feather – he’s just so elastic, gymnastic, fantastic when he moves! I absolutely love watching him!

Do make sure if you see this guy out and about to not only stop and talk with him, but to go see him with the Pearly Band – when he’s with them, it makes for one of the best, happiest shows in the Resort!

He’s one of my very favorite people to encounter in the park – when you’re with this sweep you’re in glad company indeed!

Is he your favorite performer?
