Ah, the lovely LadyPillar! She is absolutely one of the most dearly doted on performers on the Mad T Party stage at Disney California Adventure!

It really is extraordinary when someone joins a band and mixes in so perfectly it’s like they were always there… This girl just seamlessly fits with this band, enjoying continually hilarious and darling interactions with everyone up there… but especially with a certain Dormouse she is obviously VERY fond of!

She added an entirely new dimension to the show with her arrival – bringing some more girl power to this band dominated by the guys (though still ruled by Alice!). It really changed the whole dynamic of T having her there on keys. She was the missing piece we never knew we needed until we saw her…

I (and everyone else in the crowd) just love watching her interact with the guys and with Alice, but I think the most important quality she brings to the show is the ability for every girl in the crowd to relate to her. She’s goofy, she’s dorky, she’s an adoring fangirl to every other member of the band. And all she wants to do is be around them and be one of them. And she proves with her presence that it’s possible.

The key to the show with her in it is: Alice is the one that every girl in the crowd aspires to be – the rocker, the heartbreaker, the always confident leader – but LadyPillar is the one who most every girl in their heart feels that they actually are – a little awkward, a little too enthusiastic, but at her truest center… maybe really lovable after all.

Hello, Alice, it’s me, Caterpillar!

This girl on that stage makes it cool for every girl to be exactly who they are. She shows it’s okay to be silly, nerdy, shy, hopeful, loving and still be accepted. She makes it a safe environment for every girl who sees her to feel like “yeah, that’s me up there! And so she’s not all cool like Alice – she’s cool like herself! And that’s even better!”

She’s a walking, singing, keyboard-playing self-esteem lesson every single time she is on that stage and that is priceless. And that’s why EVERYONE loves her. She can make every fan in the crowd feel better about themselves by seeing themselves in her and loving her. She’s the mirror and that mirror says we’re all awesome in our own unique way!

Is she your favorite performer?
